Writing Online

My Blog!

I've been trying to earn money online for a little over 3 years now. I've had successes and failures. I treat it as a hobby that puts money in my pocket instead of money comming out of it. I've learned to follow a couple of basic rules that never failed me.

1. If its too good to be true then it probably is

I know you've probably heard this a million times but whenever you join a site take look and see if its sustainable. How does the webmaster or owner afford to pay there members? If your talking about a Paid to Read site then look at the ad prices. is the owner making money whenever they sell an ad? If they sell an ad paying 5 cents to each member that reads it and its sent to 2000 members thats $100.00. If the webmaster is selling the ads for less than that they are losing money everytime they sell the ad. This is not a good business model and more than likely they site is a scam.

Don't get me wrong there are plenty of PTR sites that are not scams but you need to weed through the junk to find the gems.

2. Investment sites or % per day sites are ponzi schemes. Treat them as such!

For those that don't know ponzi scheme's are setup in a way that the webmaster pays returns with new member's investments. Real investing never occures these always colapse eventually. How long these sites pay depends on how fast they can grow. The faster and larger they grow the longer they will last. Keep in mind even 1% daily is HUGE. Stock investors are happy to get 10% a YEAR. If a guy has found a way to make 1% daily then every invesment bank and hedge fund would be all over him. They won't start there own site.

3. Never put money in something you can't afford

Personally I only put money I've earned online into ventures online. This includes upgrades. This is mainly because I'm a college student and can't afford it. There are plenty of people who will use outside money and this is perfectly fine. Just realize that you might not get that money back ever. Don't put money in you can't afford.

4. Approach MLM sites with extreme caution

I don't join MLM sites mainly because only a few at the top make money while the rest flounder hopelessly trying to make a buck or 2. I hate to burst some bubbles but there is no get rich quick site. Making money online takes skill and hard work.

If you follow these rules you will be doing plenty better than most. You won't get rich around here but you can certainly earn some extra money.
